Garden update: spring is here and I’m rearranging the patio garden. Some snails made it into the greenhouses and got into my plants. This Haworthia truncata suffered the most damage, which is too bad since it’s such a slow grower. #gardening #containergarden #houseplant #haworthiatruncata #haworthia #succulent #succulove #plantnerd #indoorgardening #houseplantgang

Garden update: I know it’s been a while, but not much has been happening with the plants. It’s also been dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home, and gloomy on the weekends, preventing much photography. Anyway, here’s a size and color comparison between my two rhizomatous Begonia hybrids–‘Dark Mambo’ on the left and 'Black Coffee’ on the right. What you’re seeing is the sam anatomical structure in wildly different scales. 'Dark Mambo’ (photos 3&4) is a small plant right now–and is a more compact hybrid in general–and 'Black Coffee’ (photos 5&6) has become a sprawling beast, haha! They also have somewhat different leaves, although that’s less of a good indicator than flower structures about whether or not two specimens might be the same plant. #begonia #begoniablackcoffee #begoniadarkmambo #indoorgardening #houseplant #plantnerd #containergarden #gardening

Gloomy Gus. It’s been a week.
